ACCELERATING LEADERSHIP GROWTH
Rising to meet the challenge of global
growth
Faced with accelerating business growth, a tightening labor
pool, and pressure from international markets, Dell recognized
the challenge of meeting increased demands for leaders. In response,
several initiatives were launched around developing key talent
and accelerating the growth of leaders through the ranks.
Platinum Performance Group was initially engaged to bring a
performance focus to the accelerated leadership program being
developed. By conducting an analysis of key performance in the
Director and Vice President role, we were able to identify the
critical outcomes for the role as well as those enabling outcomes
that allowed for successful growth of executives. These outcomes
became the basis for focusing the program curriculum.
Platinum has continued our performance work through developing
on the job performance experiences to support the growth of
executive in role at Dell. We will be continuing this work at
the manager role in the months ahead.
• McKesson:
Working through a Partnership with the Straker Group
to support and develop performance-based approaches and processes
in the McKesson organization.
• Cisco Systems: Adopting
and integrating Performance DNA analysis approaches into their
Instructional Design and Training support departments currently
supporting the Cisco Systems sales organization world-wide.
• MDOT: Developing internal
capabilities around Performance Improvement using Performance
DNA tools and process, including conducting Performance analysis
and transitioning a Learning Center to a ‘performance-based’
Learning Center
• VDOT: Developing internal
capabilities around Performance Improvement using Performance
DNA tools and process, including conducting Performance analysis
and supporting the transitioning of this internal ‘performance
group’.
• University of Tulsa: Acting
as Adjunct Professor in supporting the Center for Executive
and Professional Development in their adoption and delivery
of the ASTD Certificate Program suing Performance DNA analysis
tools and process
• Integris: Developing internal
capabilities around Performance Analysis using Performance DNA
• ASTD: Co-publishing Performance
DNA Analysis with ASTD and using these validated processes and
tools in all of ASTD’s HPI Analysis workshops in the Certificate
programs taught worldwide. At the end of 2005 approximately
5,000 people have been taught through this HPI Certificate program.
ASTD clients include the Who’s Who of Fortune 500 corporation
and Leaders in our Federal and State organizations, as well
as government organizations in other countries
