Karen L. McGraw, Ed.D.; Senior

Dr. Karen McGraw has used cognitive principles and technology
to help organizations enhance human performance for over 20
years. She believes the key to success is linking development
and performance technologies to business strategy, goals, and
accomplishments to help organizations maximize the value of
their employees.
Dr. McGraw is a performance partner with Platinum Performance
Group, providing consultative services to improve individual
and organizational performance through human performance engineering,
eLearning, and knowledge management. In addition, Dr. McGraw
is a Research Fellow for Accenture’s Institute for Strategic
Change, where she researches factors that impact an organization’s
ability to profit from human capital development initiatives.
Dr. McGraw was also a co-author in the development of the Performance
DNA Analysis tools.
Dr. McGraw manages a small, certified woman-owned consulting
service firm in Atlanta GA. She has conducted HPI analyses for
firms including AMS and Federal Express, SAFECO, Amazon.com,
and others.
Dr. McGraw has extensive experience in the high tech sector,
serving most recently as the Director of Strategic Services
for a learning management system vendor, where she designed
and delivered consulting services in competency modeling, performance
management, and e-Learning. Previously, Dr. McGraw was the Chief
Knowledge Engineer for RWD Technologies, assisting both internal
and external clients with performance engineering, performance
support system design, and process redesign. Prior to joining
RWD she managed R&D projects in intelligent computer instruction,
knowledge engineering, and performance support for Loral and
Texas Instruments.
Dr. McGraw is nationally recognized in eLearning, knowledge
acquisition, and performance analysis and design and has authored
five texts and numerous articles.
Dr. McGraw received her doctorate from Texas Tech University
in educational psychology and curriculum & instruction,
specializing in the cognitive impact of instructional technology.
Dr. McGraw is an active member of ASTD and SHRM and is on the
editorial review board for the International Journal or AI and
Education.
